Oil prices rose again above USD74 a barrel on Monday, August 23rd of this. This is due to tropical storm in the Atlantic Ocean threatens to intensify Daniel even participants in the market is concerned about the potential disruption to crude oil production in the Gulf of Mexico.
Crude oil for October delivery fell 36 cents to USD74, 18 dollars a barrel in mid-day when Kuala Lumpur, in electronic trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX).

Earlier, oil prices dropped by 97 cents to settle at USD73, and 82 dollars a barrel on Friday last week.
