Constitution Day 2010: history and activities of tomorrow celebrate the United States Constitution and the ratification, September 17, 2010, America will celebrate Constitution Day 2010, or “Citizenship Day 2010? to recognize the anniversary of 223 for the ratification of the Constitution of the United States, which was signed on September 17, 1787 by the United States Constitutional Convention .
Today’s date the Constitution of the United States back in 1939 when he called William Randolph Hearst, through his chain of daily newspapers, and create a holiday to celebrate citizenship. In 1940, Congress designated the third Sunday, May as “Today, I am American.” However, in the February 29, 1952, and moved the note to Congress this September 17.
Has been renamed and Citizenship Day “Constitution Day and Citizenship Day,” and became law in 2004, after the passage of an amendment to Senator Robert Byrd on the omnibus spending bill for 2004.
