TSX Slightly Higher as Gold Stocks Climb on Strong Bullion Price; Oil Falls
Toronto stock market wobbled on Thursday morning between the positive and negative and was ahead a little before midday as shares rise in gold and compete with a weakness in financial and energy sectors.

The benchmark S & P TSX / Composite 9.55 points at 12,154.39, while the TSX Venture Exchange rose 14.70 points to 1,644.94.
“You have a market where there is a huge tug of war taking place between the bulls and bears, made with valid arguments on both sides,” said Andrew Pyle, investment adviser with ScotiaMcLeod in Peterborough, Ont. “But what it does is result in a market that has convinced a little.”
