YouTube and Guggenheim showcase video artists
Guggenheim Museum has teamed up with YouTube in a partnership which reflects the growing influence of new media and a form of art.
The two organizations have created “Play YouTube” to discover and artists working in video display on the Internet.

On Monday, a short list of 125 artists and videos that were detected in the play and / or YouTube.com in kiosks in New York Guggenheim Berlin and Venice and sites Bilboa. Were selected from among more than 23000 submissions to YouTube, from 91 countries.
Said Nancy Spector, deputy director and chief curator Guggenheim Foundation, Reuters draw the museum project because enthralled by “the idea of looking at how online video is emerging as an art form in itself”.
