Jeff Blake

Jeff Blake
Auburn quarterback entered a brilliant, controversial season with a Heisman Trophy, a national championship and his index finger.
He is number 1. And after a 22-19 victory over Oregon before a record crowd at the University of Phoenix Stadium, interviewed only one remained:
Was this the end of his college career?
Newton would not say after the game, but if so, the Cardinals had better do their homework. Newton showed his dizzying array of skills, from his rugged athleticism to great poise in the pocket. His bowl statistics were not as flashy as Stanford’s Andrew lucky, but he beat a team that could not be happier.
Newton is 1-0 in Glendale, and if he declares for the NFL Draft, it would be tempting to close the Cardinals, who own the No. 5 overall pick.
Imagine how he would look good in red, to return to the scene of triumph on Monday.
“I have a good example of how one man can something bad into something up that I was very big,” said Newton.
