German Authorities Shut 9/11 Plotters Mosque
HAMBURG, Germany: German police on Monday shut down a mosque in Hamburg, reportedly visited by suicide hijackers of September 11, 2001 attacks and accused of recruiting jihadists, authorities said.
A related cultural center called Taiba was also banned. “Hamburg may not become a cradle of violent Islamists,” the city-state’s chief official for the Interior, Christoph Ahlhaus, told reporters.
