DA: Paris Hilton to Avoid Felony in Vegas Arrest
Paris Hilton has agreed to plead guilty to two misdemeanors arising from her arrest last month in the resort of Las Vegas, Nevada, and a prosecutor said.
He said Clark County District Attorney David Roger and under the terms of the appeal worked out with prosecutors, and the celebrity heiress will serve one year of experience and avoid a felony conviction, on Friday.
Agreement obtained by the call Las Vegas Review Journal shows Hilton will plead guilty to drug possession and obstructing an officer. She must complete the program of drug abuse, and a fine of $ 2000 and works 200 hours of community service.
Hilton, aged 29, was arrested August 26 in the resort of Wayne, and after police say a small plastic bag containing 0.8 grams of cocaine fell from her Chanel purse and reached for a tube of lip balm before a police officer.
