Hurricane Gaston
Hurricane Gaston is located, Center for Statistics powerful hurricane about 410 miles east of Jacksonville, Florida, or about 355 miles south of Cape Hatteras, North Carolina.
Continuation of the maximum wind speed increased to nearly 145 miles per hour, the hurricane category 4 Earl strong. It is expected that the trend of a gradual erosion to occur later in the day, but Earl is expected to maintain the further development of the cyclone in the next 36-48 hours.
Earl is moving north-northwest at 18 miles per hour, but is expected to turn toward the north, today, from a distance of 100 miles off the coast of North Carolina tonight and Friday morning, then spend a few hundred miles to the east of the North Atlantic-coast New England Friday and Saturday.
Earl ocean swells are hitting the beaches of Florida, is likely to continue until the end of the week.
